Lead singer and guitar player for Machine Head, Rob Flynn, did not hesitate a moment to give Disney a big “F. You” in Pittsburgh the other night, but he did even more so by giving the ‘Burgh the show of their lives. And Pittsburgh responded.
With full onslaught MH hit the audience hard with songs as far back as from 94’s Burn My Eyes, the masterpieces from 07’s ‘The Blackening’ and everything in-between up to the instant classic recent ‘Unto the Locust’. All this in one night with Dethklok, All That Remains, and Black Dahlia Murder was one hell of a metalheads dream line-up. And with a line-up like this, Disney bans Machine Head from House of Blues locations they own because of “violent imagery, inflammatory lyrics, and undesireable fans”?! Some corporations just don’t get it when it comes to metal. We metalheads stick together, are family, loyal to a fault, and spend all of our money on things we love. Does not sound so undesirable to PMM.
Rob Flynn, Phil Demmel, Adam Duce, and Dave McClain were insanely good in Pittsburgh at Stage AE and delivered a set that may prove one of the best of 2012.

Machine Head’s new live album “Machine Fucking Head Live” will be released on November 13th, and right now you can pre-order the 2-CD release or the Digital Special Edition (featuring 4 bonus tracks) and receive a free, immediate download of the 6-track “B-Sides & Rarities” digital EP. Do it. If nothing else to just send a message to Disney. And while they are at it, give us our Star Wars back!
